NEW RELEASES

- Ferguson resident Alvin Zamudio’s first book, “The American Sandbox Dictionary of Children’s Mispronounced English,” includes hundreds of kids’ mispronunciations and includes their intended definitions. Copies of the book are available in bookstores and online at www.reedypress.com .

- Kevin Amsler of St. Louis has self-published a humorous travel memoir “Smoky Goes to Europe: A Travel Tale of a Marriage.” He is also the author of “Final Resting Place: The Lives and Deaths of Famous St. Louisans.” Both books are available on Barnes and Noble website or online at www.freewebs.com/kevinamsler .

- Kenneth Underhill of St. Louis recently published his first novel, “Jack Fell Down.” The suspense fiction novel, set prominently in Missouri, tells the story of a salesman gone bad on the road to redemption. Published by CreateSpace Publishing, the book is available at www.amazon.com , www.barnesandnoble.com , www.jackfelldown.net and at select bookstores.

BOOK SIGNINGS

- The St. Louis County Library Foundation and Pudd’nHead Books will present a Reading Garden Event Series program with Cassandra Clare, author of the Mortal Instruments teen fantasy series. Clare will discuss her new novel “Clockwork Angels” at 7 p.m. Sept. 3 at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Pudd’nHead Books. - The St. Louis County Library Foundation will present detective fiction author Martin Cruz Smith for a discussion and signing of “Three Stations” at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will present Pulitzer Prize-winning author T.J. Stiles at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the St. Louis County Library, 1640 S. Lindbergh. - St. Louis County Library Foundation and Delta Dental will host young adult adventure author Eoin Colfer for the sixth annual Family Read Night.
